Conservative Policy Forum Dinner - Mrs Liz Holt, Cllr Andrew Eade, & Cllr Nigel Dugmore
Conservative Policy Forum Dinner - Mrs Liz Holt, Cllr Andrew Eade, & Cllr Nigel Dugmore

Wrekin CPF held its dinner at the Buckatree Hall Hotel on Friday night.  The guest speaker was cllr Andrew Eade the Conservative Leader of Telford & Wrekin Borough Council.  He described how things have changed over the years since the Wrekin Council was first formed over thirty years ago.  Initially there were only three Conservative councillors.  The council gradually became larger and its powers were increased dramatically when it changed from a district council to a unitary authority.  He blamed the previous Labour administration of neglecting the district centres and has pledged that the Conservative administration will do all it can to regenerate those areas and is currently working on schemes throughout Telford.
