Apley is currently part of Hadley & Leegomery Parish Council. There are 4 parish councillors for Apley out of a total of 16 for the whole parish.
The parish council doesn't hold events in Apley, it has no community buildings and doesn't even have Christmas lights like Hadley and Leegomery despite the best efforts of the Conservative councillors on the parish council to have Apley treated fairly.
The Lib Dem borough councillor for Apley is largely absent from the ward and doesn't attend parish council meetings so it falls to Hadley, Leegomery & Apley Conservatives to stand up for the residents of Apley. We believe that Apley should have its own parish council to represent the interests of the residents of Apley.
This campaign is led by Cllr Andrew Benion.
