Cllr Bill Harper and Cllr Tim Nelson are Chair and Deputy Chair respectively of Newport Regeneration Partnership.

The Partnership were approached by Cosy Hall in Newport, to create a 'Blue Plaque' to commemorate the work of Susan Miles, MBE, stalwart of the town and mover and shaker of Cosy Hall. She made Cosy Hall the valued community resource and venue that it is today.

The Partnership had the contacts and expertise to commission the Blue Plaque itself, Cosy Hall provided half the cost and the dignified wording. Proper community participation and joint working, for the good of Newport. The new plaque is positioned on the 'old' part of the building, down by Town bridge, and looks very smart too.
