Cllr Jay Gough has been working with Babcock International Group to restore Donnington War Memorial gates and has shared pictures of the newly-restored brass name plaques.

Jay became something of a local celebrity working on Donnington war memorial to recover it from the state of neglect and disrepair it had been left to fall into by Donnington's Labour councillors. Jay was elected in 2021 as the first non-Labour councillor in Donnington since the 1970s following the sad death of Liz Clare. He narrowly missed out on being re-elected in last year's local elections but hasn't let the disappointing result distract him from serving his the community.
