Cllr Thomas Hoof has advised Wellington Road Action Group to contact the Traffic Commissioner regarding HGVs using Wellington Road, saying that bigger signs are not going to stop HGVs using the road illegally.

WRAG raised concerns at last night's Donnington & Muxton Parish Council meeting that HGVs going to and from Best Concrete are using Wellington Road despite there being a 7.5t weight limit in place.

Cllr Hoof said that Best Concrete isn't to blame, the drivers visiting Best Concrete aren't employed by them. He advised WRAG to contact the Traffic Commissioner who is responsible for approving HGV routes and dealing with complaints about agreed routes not being followed.
