Sir Keir Starmer is reportedly planning a huge u-turn on the removal of the Winter Fuel Allowance from millions of pensioners thanks to the Conservatives campaigning.
Labour's decision to take the vital benefit off millions of pensioners was widely denounced and the Conservatives have been relentlessly campaigning for it to be reinstated for vulnerable pensioners. Noises are now coming from the Labour cabinet about reinstating the Winter Fuel Allowance for all pensioners who are not higher rate taxpayers.
