Lower Coalmoor BESS Ltd are appealing the decision to refuse permission to build a battery storage site off Buildwas bypass, near Little Wenlock.

Cllr Gareth Thomas, the borough councillor for Wrockwardine which covers Little Wenlock, is supporting local residents and environmental campaigners who have serious concerns about the impact and safety of such a development on unstable land with unsuitable access.

Telford & Wrekin Council rejected an application last year which the company is now appealing and seeking to recover costs from the council.

The deadline for submitting your comments on Telford & Wrekin Council's Community Governance Review is today.The review is looking to redraw the boundaries of our town and parish councils and reducing the number of councillors in the process.
