Lower Coalmoor BESS Ltd are appealing the decision to refuse permission to build a battery storage site off Buildwas bypass, near Little Wenlock.

Cllr Gareth Thomas, the borough councillor for Wrockwardine which covers Little Wenlock, is supporting local residents and environmental campaigners who have serious concerns about the impact and safety of such a development on unstable land with unsuitable access.

Telford & Wrekin Council rejected an application last year which the company is now appealing and seeking to recover costs from the council.

Little Wenlock road repairs

Cllr Gareth Thomas has been to Little Wenlock to check progress on road repairs that he requested some time ago from Telford & Wrekin Council after a resident was injured by a pothole that he had previously reported. Amongst the issues raised by residents was the disputed responsibility for rep
